It is estimated that more than 80,000 children in the Cincinnati area need mental health services, but only about 20 percent of them receive treatment. The Division of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center sees more psychiatric patients than any other pediatric facility in the country. Cincinnati Children’s has been working with community partners, including MindPeace, to address the mental health crisis in Greater Cincinnati.

As part of its comprehensive mental health program, Cincinnati Children's provides services through many divisions, including:

The Division of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Childrens operates the Psychiatric Intake Response Center, which is a 24-hour service for referrals for inpatient care, partial hospitalization, outpatient services and residential hospitalization treatment. The Psychiatric Intake Response Center provides access to mental health services at multiple locations, including the Cincinnati Children's College Hill Campus.
